LEVEL 3

Practical Experience and A-Levels

Designed for ambitious 16-18 year olds, the LSA Level 3 course is our free, highly-regarded route into the screen industries.

As a student here, you’ll study the UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Practice. This is a professional qualification equal to three A-Levels and fully recognised by UK universities.

This means you study your qualifications and spend 15 hands-on hours every week honing your craft in a live studio environment.

So what? You build a professional portfolio without sacrificing your academic future. It's the smart move for the student who wants to keep their options open.

Whether you're heading straight to a set or applying to university, you’ll leave LSA with both the technical skills and UCAS points needed to succeed.

  • Study masters of storytelling like Shakespeare and Rossetti to find your own creative voice so you build the communication skills and thematic depth required to create screen content that actually matters.

  • Build your skills in the technical logic behind trigonometry and statistical analysis.

This is the fast-track to technical and accounts roles; our alumni who took this path have already secured roles on Netflix's accounts programme and the film version of Wicked.

  • This is pure creative freedom worth half an A-Level.

You spend your time developing an original script, music video, costume design or miniatures while studying the screen craft of hits like Chernobyl and Small Axe.

  • Worth half an A-Level. Develop the real-world financial skills the industry demands, from budgeting and spreadsheets to risk analysis. You get the practical maths skills needed for freelance life.

A Safety Net (GCSE Retakes):

If you haven't hit a Grade 4 in English or Maths yet, you will have to retake when you join.

But don't worry! We provide four hours of intensive weekly support to help you secure those passes so your talent isn't held back.
