At LSA, a free sixth form for 16-19 year olds, we tell those dreams through stories, but we also ensure they lead to real-world security. We understand that for many, a creative education feels like a "risk."
That’s why we are an Ofsted Outstanding academy where many students leave with excellent results and UCAS points the same as 3 A* A-Levels.
You will learn the foundations of the craft of film alongside transferable skills - like leadership, strategic planning, and professional communication - that are the standard for universities and every career path, in the screen industries and beyond.
When you join our sixth form, we’ll give you all the tools you need to tell those stories. Whether you want to build a crew for your first short film or build the academic foundation to study anything from Architecture to Politics or Business, as our alumni have, then we’ve got you.

LEVEL 3 (After GCSEs)
The Professional Alternative to A-Levels
Our Level 3 course gives you the qualifications, but you’ll do it by spending 15 hours every week on what you love.
This means you can keep your doors open to top-tier universities like UCL, Edinburgh, and York while mastering the technical skills the industry is actually hiring for. Whether you want to lead a crew or get to grips with the digital magic of post-production, you’ll join a specialist department where you’ll learn by doing, with free iPads and all professional kit provided.

LEVEL 4 (18+)
A free one-year alternative to university.
If you’ve finished college and aren’t sure university is the right move, we offer a professional, free alternative. Most creative degrees spend three years on theory; we spend one year on doing.
This allows you to enhance your skills to a higher level and enter the workforce with a professional network already in place. Whether you want to join a working crew to create a fully funded short film or develop the entrepreneurial edge to pitch to industry giants, our Level 4 courses are designed to make you industry ready in just 12 months.
Build a career on your own terms. Learn the business fundamentals - from managing budgets and writing business plans to working on real client briefs for brands like NBCUniversal.
Train as part of a working crew, specialise in your technical craft (from Camera to Hair & Makeup), and graduate with a fully funded showcase film as your "calling card".
